INFANTS

The Woolly Worms and Cinnabars Infant rooms are for infants 6 weeks to 1 year. Both of these rooms maintain a 4:1 ratio of children to staff with 8 children per classroom. Meals and nap times are personalized for the needs of each infant based on his/her personal rhythms.

Our bright, clean and safe environment encourages infants to explore their surroundings to stimulate physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Through a balance of activities that emphasize visual, aural and tactile stimulation, infants thrive in our friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

Your infant will explore their new world through the use of the Bright Baby program. This program promotes brain development through positive caregiver-child interactions. Your precious infant will be provided with love and warmth while exploring a world of stimulating age specific activities to develop small and large motor skills, social and emotional skills, and early language skills.

Bright Baby promotes language development and provides opportunities for positive social interactions. Caregivers provide love and guidance as your infant grows and develops at their own pace. Infants are highly motivated as they are encouraged to independently explore their surroundings. Visual and tactile stimulation is offered through age appropriate toys, music, books and learning materials. This provides your little onewith an exciting environment that will enhance their early development.

Infant Sign LanguageOur infant programs also introduce your child to infant sign language. The ability to communicate early helps children feel empowered and in control of their environment. It also builds a greater trust with adults in their life. By seeing, hearing, and moving their bodies, babies learn about the world around them. Signing is a natural way to incorporate vision, hearing and body movement into communication.

The main skills your child will cover during the year are listed below.

  • Social/Emotional Development
  • Language Development
  • Small and Large Muscle Development
