PRESCHOOL

ClassThe Coppers and the Crescents are our preschool classes and are for children between the ages of 36 and 48 months. These classrooms maintain a 12:1 child to staff ratio.

Both our preschool and pre-k programs share the primary goal or readying your child for kindergarten and beyond.

Our preschoolers are surrounded with an environment that builds self-esteem and learning while exposing them to basic concepts and skills needed for their future. In this classroom, the captivating themes make learning meaningful while providing children with a strong foundation for success. Our preschool curriculum satisfies inquisitive minds by exploring the world of science, social studies, math, language, art, and dramatic play. The children also participate in our vegetable garden and are encouraged to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

The preschool class utilizes the HighReach Curriculum for Threes program. This program will help your child build character and problem solving abilities. The curriculum builds a strong foundation upon which children construct a world of knowledge! Through hands-on exploration, the curious preschool child experiences basic skills and concepts while having fun. Teachers continue to offer positive guidance as our preschoolers move through each stage of development. The interactive curriculum allows teachers to spend quality learning time with each child while providing them with the love and care needed for proper development.

Tara Sanderson

Mrs. Tara is currently attending Oklahoma Christian University, hoping to graduate in December 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in the areas of the Bible, Education, and Family Studies. 

She married the love her life, Parker, November 22, 2008 and loves being married to her best friend!  They plan to have at least two children in the future, but are waiting for a few years to start their family. 

Mrs. Tara has a passion for teaching children and helping them grow!  “My goal is to become either a Kindergarten or 1st grade teacher!” she says.

Jennifer King
Jennifer King

Ms. Jennifer was born in Liberal, KS on April 2, 1990. She has lived in rural Guymon, OK her whole life with her parents and four siblings. She attended Straight Grade School until 7th grade, then transferred to Rolla, KS.

She participated in cross country, track, NHS, FCA, STUCO, and yearbook during high school. Ms. Jennifer graduated from Rolla High School in May of 2008.

She is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma and majoring in Early Childhood Education.

MASTER TEACHER
Kimberly Burgess
Kimberly Burgess

Ms. Kim has been around, or wanted to be around, children since she was a child herself.  She went to a OCS and graduated in 2001.  During that time, she did the usual babysitting and also worked in her church's nursery for 2 years. 

Her education has been an on again, off again experience due to various factors, but her major is education and her main concentration is Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). She recently had the opportunities to go to China to teach english to high school students, twice!. 

Ms. Kim also has two nieces and a nephew; they are the loves of her life!

Abbey Barrow
Abbey Barrow

Ms. Abbey grew up in Edmond and went to Edmond Santa Fe High School.  She went to Oklahoma State in Stillwater for 3 semesters before transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma, where she is a junior majoring in Speech Pathology. 

Ms. Abbey has worked in a child care setting for 5 years and has also been a nanny.  Her favorite colors are red and teal and her favorite holiday is Halloween!!
